Educating aspiring and experienced retail management professionals for future industry advancement

Program Overview:

The 6-course Certificate in Retail Leadership is completely online and is intended to be completed part-time by working professionals. Program content combines leadership, style, trends, and strategy to focus on key areas of the retail industry including:

  • Retail store management
  • Retail operations and strategy
  • In-store visual merchandising
  • Retail store leadership

Retail Management key program features and benefits:

  • Quality: This program is fully accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and adds the prestigious Drexel name to your resume. Courses are taught by industry experts with many years of retail field experience.
  • Flexible: Available totally online - you can complete courses at your own pace without ever commuting to campus.

  • Affordable: Special tuition for alumni of Community College Partners as well as employees of partnering corporations.

Credit Options:

Students can use the curriculum in three different ways. Regardless of the option you choose, all courses are for-credit and appear on your official Drexel University transcript for use toward an undergraduate degree at Drexel or elsewhere.

  • Certificate: Complete the 6-course program and receive a Certificate in Retail Leadership.
  • Credit toward degree program: Take courses from the curriculum and apply the credits toward a Drexel Bachelor's Degree program. Contact Academic Advisor Gina Gondos at 215-895-0527 to see how these credits can apply toward your degree (note: this option is financial aid-eligible).
  • Single course of interest: Take one or more courses of interest as a non-matriculated student.

Career Paths:

The knowledge and skills acquired in this certificate can be applied across a variety of retail settings including fashion, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, online retail, and many others.
