Financial Assistance for Your Online Education
You may not realize it – but you could be eligible to receive financial assistance for the Drexel Online academic program you choose. Through aid programs, grants, scholarships, and other student loans listed below, you can subsidize a substantial portion of your education.
Apply Early! It's important to submit your application as soon as possible to be deemed eligible for assistance. If you anticipate being dependent on federal loan or grant programs in order to start classes at Drexel, be aware that any federal loan or grant money for which you qualify will likely not be available to you until 8-10 weeks after you have completed ALL of the following tasks:
Drexel's posted application deadlines are designed to assure that students are admitted sufficiently in advance of the start of a term to obtain textbooks and complete other start-up and orientation activities. These deadlines are NOT designed to allow sufficient time to guarantee processing of financial aid requests.
Timely receipt of financial aid funds also assumes that the student pre-registers for courses and promptly responds to additional financial aid requests such as signing promissory notes, completion of federally required entrance counseling, and supplying documentation if selected for verification.
To qualify for federal financial aid, you will need to maintain enrollment on at least a half-time basis (6 quarter credits per term for undergraduate students and 4.5 quarter credits per term for graduate students). This generally works out to at least two courses per term. Loans are the only form of federal financial aid available to the vast majority of part-time students.

Below are questions frequently received pertaining to online learning and the Drexel PRO Partnership Program. If this list does not contain the information you were looking for or if you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us toll-free at (866) 803-0053 or via e-mail at partners@drexel.edu.
Will the partnership require a dedicated representative from my organization to answer questions about the partnership?
No. Your organization will be assigned a partnership liaison who will help launch the partnership and serve as a contact for prospective students at your organization.
Is there any cost to participate?
No. There is absolutely no cost for an organization to partner with Drexel.
Do you offer the option of course customization specific to my organization’s individual needs?
Yes. We offer contracted learning courses that can be tailored to fit the individual needs of your organization. If you are interested in setting up a course offering like this, please contact our Partnership Development Specialist at (866) 803-0053.
Does my organization need to guarantee a certain number of students per year?
No. However, some organizations take advantage of our cohort opportunities in which a group of employees or members go through a specific program together.
What is the level of commitment expected from my organization if we decide to partner with Drexel?
The organization determines its commitment level. Drexel takes care of the cost and design of the promotional materials that are used to communicate the partnership internally to employees or members.
Is the partnership an exclusive agreement with Drexel?
No. Employees can take advantage of other degree and certificate programs at other universities. The tuition reduction benefits only apply to Drexel’s online programs, however.
What is a L.O.U.?
L.O.U. stands for Letter of Understanding. It is non-exclusive agreement that outlines the details of the partnership. This will be signed by both parties to validate the partnership.
Can I limit the programs offered to the ones that my organization covers under our tuition reimbursement policy?
Yes. We do not require you to offer all programs to employees or members. Your partnership liaison will discuss which programs you would like to offer.
