Data Architect | Business Intelligence Manager 

Department: IT
 

The Data Architect | Business Intelligence Manager will play a critical role in the transformation of Drexel University Online’s business capabilities that will enable a new breed of IT services to support Marketing, Business Development, Enrollment Management, Information Technology, and Operations. This role will own the full-lifecycle of data, its consumption model, establish governance models to ensure accuracy of data utilized for reporting, KPIs, and analytics.

The Data Architect | Business Intelligence Manager will define and manage the Master Data Management Strategy that will drive consistancy of data and information security in the Source of Truth (SOT) and all systems that interact with it. The essential duties will include the following:

Responsibilities: 

  • Establish a scalable data architecture framework for all data utilized by Drexel University Online's (DUO) stakeholders for reporting, metrics, KPIs, and analytics
  • Define a Master Data Management Strategy for all existing and future data elements within DUO's technology infrastructure
  • As a member of the DUO IT team, quantify data requirements for all projects by documenting, assessing risk impacts, and validating solution components involving access and use of data from various systems
  • Build and support Data Warehouse to ensure all DUO data assets are aligned to architecture strategy in support of business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs
  • Manage the daily data acquisition processes and activities
  • Engage w/ business stakeholders to define, validate and create analytical reports, KPIs, and dashboards that will provide business intelligence and insight to an ever changing landscape
  • Develop and manage the ETL, SQL, & relational database tables to ensure that accuracy, consistency, and integrity is maintained throughout the lifecycle of the data flow between systems
  • Deploy protocols that govern the security of information by system, role, department, and customer type
  • Design and specify improvements to interfaces between databases and systems, including 3rd-party products and services
  • Analyze reports, troubleshoot problems and ensure accurate and complete reporting from data collection, aggregation and allocation including data correction requirements
  • Perform basic statistical analyses for projects and reports
  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Create and present quality dashboards that will be displayed on monitors throughout the business to track real-time progress
  • Analyze business requirements, recommend and help implement best business practices around the use of data and reports
  • Participate in the development of the Data Architecture, Vision and IT Roadmap
  • Research, analyze, recommend and implement new data management and analysis processes, tools, applications, systems and techniques
  • Assist in many phases of the application and database development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and documentation, to design, testing, and training on various projects
  • Produce accurate technical documentation and other specifications required to implement and support new and existing data structures and their connectors
  • Manage the point-in-time data strategy for reporting needed by the business to make critical decisions
  • Evaluate and document all data integration touch-points across all systems of record
  • Create a backup & recovery process for all data sources
  • Perform duties as the Data Warehouse Manager

Job Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Master’s Degree a plus.
  • 7 years experience in data warehouse management. Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) preferred.
  • 5 years experience in gathering requirements, conducting risk assessments, and quantifying data requirements for IT solutions
  • Experience architecting Salesforce data models. Salesforce Technical Architect Certification (STA) a plus

Enrollment Counselor

Manager of Military and Veteran Outreach 

Drexel University Online is seeking a motivated Manager of Military and Veteran Outreach Military to lead a small team to create and execute Drexel University Online's military veteran recruitment strategy. Responsibilities: 

  • Interface with key leadership to develop and execute enrollment cultivation strategies for military friendly companies and veteran organizations
  • Deliver presentations to prospective students as well as key contacts within government agencies and military branches in compliance with the University's DOD MOU
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop recruitment and promotional strategies to support enrollment growth of veterans

Marketing Manager, Business Development 

The Marketing Manager, Business Development owns the marketing function for all Drexel Online partner organizations and oversees the management of company-wide conferences and events .This includes the identification of events and conference relevant to key vertical markets and development of the marketing strategy for each vertical from awareness through enrollment, identification and prioritization of tactics, management of annual budgets/monthly forecasts, ROI measurement, management of the messaging and creative strategy, as well as meeting enrollment targets. The marketing manager will be responsible for managing a team of three specialists to execute strategy and events.

  • Build and optimize annual marketing strategy, budgets and campaign plans by vertical
  • Oversee conference and event strategy, process, and execution

  • Manage team of three marketing specialists responsible for project tactics, partner webpages, trafficking, event and conference logistics and deliverables

Media Manager 

The Media Manager will design, implement and optimize online and offline media campaigns focused on delivering the right message to the right student while generating efficient new student acquisition for Drexel University Online. S/He will support the marketing needs of our schools while developing and maintaining an overarching strategy for traditional marketing, email marketing, display advertising, SEM, and SEO.

Playing a strategic role, h/she will support our various business units (schools) while managing internal marketing resources to launch successful media campaigns. Senior Business Development Manager 

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for building an in-house sales/business development team that will be tasked to meet and exceed pre-determined sales targets through various sales activities. This position is responsible for ensuring that the sales team meets activity targets which will in turn lead to increased enrollment.

The Business Development team will handle all aspects of the sales/business development/marketing process which include prospecting, setting appointments, client interfacing, delivering sales presentations, and forecasting to meet enrollment and partner generation targets.

This is an important full-time position, housed in the sales department, and reports to the Director of Business Development. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities: 

  • Leadership: provide day-to-day leadership for the sales/business development/marketing team, which includes successfully managing the team to meet pre-determined enrollment and new partner targets. This team is primarily focused on identifying and closing new sales opportunities as well as cultivating existing accounts (contract learning, new partner acquisition, and enrollment generation) by way of traditional sales techniques including cold calling, setting up potential client appointments, presenting product portfolio, developing proposals and closing accounts.
  • Manage the sales/business development process: work with a cross-functional team to close new sales opportunities, this would include, meeting with key stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure client needs are met.

The Senior IT Business Analyst will assist in the management of application development cycle, from process flow, root-cause analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment strategies on various projects to include Salesforce CRM, Website, Analytics platform, and Student Information Systems. The essential duties will include the following:

  • Actively engages with business units to identify opportunities where technology can resolve business challenges, understanding what is working and what changes are needed to optimize the process
  • Apply Six Sigma methodologies to document processes, pain-points, root cause, risk assessment, and information flow

The Strategic Marketing Manager is responsible for the successful promotion of schools and programs by providing sound, innovating, strategic leadership and initiatives to recruit students. This includes developing the strategy/roadmap for each school, prioritization of programs to achieve Drexel University Online business objectives, annual budgets/monthly forecasts, managing overall advertising strategy, managing the messaging and creative strategy, as well as orchestrating customer and competitive landscape research and analysis.
