Business Development Representative  

Department: Business Development
 

Business Development Representatives manage assigned small to mid-sized partner accounts to increase account penetration as well as enrollments on a quarterly basis.

Responsibilities:  

  • Manage Drexel eLearning’s health system, corporate, education and association partner accounts with 5,000+ employees or members
  • Develop and execute enrollment cultivation strategies for local, regional and national partners
  • Interface with senior level decision makers within assigned partners to increase account penetration to generate enrollments
  • Deliver sales presentations to decision makers as well as employees within assigned customer base
  • Coordinate visits and marketing activity to assigned partners monthly
  • Build and maintain external client relationships
  • Act as corporate liaison between assigned partners and Drexel e-Learning, Inc. (DeL).
  • Attend annual meetings, trade shows, conferences and on-site client visits to increase brand awareness with partner accounts
  • Uncover and identify new business opportunities for partner educational initiatives
  • Develop enrollment forecasts quarterly for assigned partner accounts

Minimum Required Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements:  

  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.

Data Architect | Business Intelligence Manager

The Data Architect | Business Intelligence Manager will play a critical role in the transformation of Drexel University Online’s business capabilities that will enable a new breed of IT services to support Marketing, Business Development, Enrollment Management, Information Technology, and Operations. This role will own the full-lifecycle of data, its consumption model, establish governance models to ensure accuracy of data utilized for reporting, KPIs, and analytics.

The Data Architect | Business Intelligence Manager will define and manage the Master Data Management Strategy that will drive consistancy of data and information security in the Source of Truth (SOT) and all systems that interact with it. The essential duties will include the following:

Responsibilities:  

  • Establish a scalable data architecture framework for all data utilized by Drexel University Online's (DUO) stakeholders for reporting, metrics, KPIs, and analytics
  • Define a Master Data Management Strategy for all existing and future data elements within DUO's technology infrastructure
  • As a member of the DUO IT team, quantify data requirements for all projects by documenting, assessing risk impacts, and validating solution components involving access and use of data from various systems
  • Build and support Data Warehouse to ensure all DUO data assets are aligned to architecture strategy in support of business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs
  • Manage the daily data acquisition processes and activities
  • Engage w/ business stakeholders to define, validate and create analytical reports, KPIs, and dashboards that will provide business intelligence and insight to an ever changing landscape
  • Develop and manage the ETL, SQL, & relational database tables to ensure that accuracy, consistency, and integrity is maintained throughout the lifecycle of the data flow between systems
  • Deploy protocols that govern the security of information by system, role, department, and customer type
  • Design and specify improvements to interfaces between databases and systems, including 3rd-party products and services
  • Analyze reports, troubleshoot problems and ensure accurate and complete reporting from data collection, aggregation and allocation including data correction requirements
  • Perform basic statistical analyses for projects and reports
  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Create and present quality dashboards that will be displayed on monitors throughout the business to track real-time progress
  • Analyze business requirements, recommend and help implement best business practices around the use of data and reports
  • Participate in the development of the Data Architecture, Vision and IT Roadmap
  • Research, analyze, recommend and implement new data management and analysis processes, tools, applications, systems and techniques
  • Assist in many phases of the application and database development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and documentation, to design, testing, and training on various projects
  • Produce accurate technical documentation and other specifications required to implement and support new and existing data structures and their connectors
  • Manage the point-in-time data strategy for reporting needed by the business to make critical decisions
  • Evaluate and document all data integration touch-points across all systems of record
  • Create a backup & recovery process for all data sources
  • Perform duties as the Data Warehouse Manager

Job Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Master’s Degree a plus.
  • 7 years experience in data warehouse management. Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) preferred.
  • 5 years experience in gathering requirements, conducting risk assessments, and quantifying data requirements for IT solutions
  • Experience architecting Salesforce data models. Salesforce Technical Architect Certification (STA) a plus
  • Solid understanding of data modeling for marketing and sales solutions
  • Experience managing projects utilzing Agile Methodologies a plus
  • Must be able to analyze data to recommend priortization of enhancements to data structures utilized by applications throughout the business for making both tactical and strategic decisions
  • Manage data elements captured from Inquiries, Campaigns, and financial systems utilized to define ROI
  • Configure and deploy a next-gen Business Intelligence System for reports and dashboards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional skills in the creation of visual impacting presentation content
  • Experience presenting to senior management
  • Demonstrated history of working with groups and teams
  • Good understanding of System Development Life Cycle
  • Understanding of Higher Education industry and emerging trends in Online Education
  • Must be highly organized and proactive; self-motivated
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and MS Visio

Enrollment Counselor

Department: Enrollment Services

As part of a high functioning team, the Enrollment Counselor serves as the first point of contact with prospective students. Their primary function is to guide prospective students through each step of the enrollment management process, from lead to applicant to enrolled student. The Enrollment Counselor is responsible for creating positive experiences for prospects by building a relationship with them, answering their questions, and guiding them through the decision to enroll with Drexel University Online. Enrollment Counselors are student- centered and driven by the need to help other’s achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling a high-volume of inbound and outbound calls from/to a constantly growing pool of prospective students.
  • Responding to emails from prospective students who are requesting further information about the online programs offered by Drexel University.
  • Setting and holding individual appointments with prospective students to provide a detailed breakdown of the features and benefits of Drexel University Online.
  • Providing prompt follow-up and problem resolution as needed.
  • Recording and entering prospect data accurately in all databases.
  • Delivering superior customer service to prospective students to support the overall goals of the department and company.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, masters a plus
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast pasted environment and meet challenging goals
  • Must be student- centered and have the ability to identify strengths and weaknesses and qualify prospective students.
  • Social Perceptiveness: must be constantly aware of other’s reactions, understand the reasoning behind it and adapt accordingly
  • Preference given to candidates with experience working with non-traditional adult students
  • Prior sales experience is a plus
  • Technical skills including proficiency in internet software, Microsoft Office, Leads 360 and Salesforce are preferred

Senior Director of Business Development  

The Senior Director of Business Development is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the Business Development team. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Branding, the Senior Business Development Director will assist in strategically creating, implementing and overseeing organizational policies by performing the functions outlined below. The Senior Director of Business Development is ultimately responsible for building an in-house team that will be tasked with meeting and exceeding our pre-determined enrollment targets.

Responsibilities:  

  • Works with the other members of the management team to develop strategic direction for the Business Development department.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of a comprehensive sales and relationship management plan for the Business Development team.
  • Work with leadership to establish quarterly goals both for the team and for individual contributors
  • Develop appropriate metrics to measure team performance
  • Work with the Marketing team to ensure the team has appropriate materials and collateral materials.
  • Works closely with the Senior Management team to maximize lead flow, lead conversion and student lifetime value to maximize growth.
  • Assist with generating business and securing partnerships for the Drexel University’s online programs by coaching the Regional Managers on building relationships with senior level executives of corporations, health systems, associations and government agencies.
  • Responsible for managing a team that is accountable for meeting and exceeding channel enrollment projections.
  • Directly Supervises Regional Area Managers and Events Manager
  • Responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the Business Development department.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • 7-10 years of direct sales/business development experience, preferably within higher education.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Well-established contacts and business development record with large employers in healthcare, education, government, technology or manufacturing sectors; contacts should include corporate-level executives, HR, training departments, etc.
  • An understanding of how academic programs of study in business, education, engineering, technology, and nursing would benefit corporations, associations, and government agencies.
  • An ability to effectively communicate and convey a professional image to corporations, associations, government agencies, and internal departments.
  • Success in managing business development teams and budget.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience using CRM/Sales Force automation systems.
  • Master’s degree required, preferably in business or related field. Relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.
