Business Development Specialist

Job description and responsibilities:

The Business Development Specialist will assist the Business Development team in obtaining new students through the cultivation of existing partner accounts in the following areas:

  • Corporations
  • Healthcare Systems
  • Professional & Library Associations

The Business Development Specialist will also be tasked with special assignments to meet changing business needs as determined by the CEO and Director of Business Development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years of professional account management and sales experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Inbound Sales Support Specialist

Reports to: CRM Coordinator

Drexel eLearning, Inc. (www.drexel.com) is the for-profit subsidiary of Drexel University focused on the development and delivery of innovative, Internet-based distance education degree and certificate programs for adult students.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responding to inbound calls, emails, and chat from prospective students who are requesting further information for the online programs.
  • Explaining the features and benefits of Drexel University Online programs to prospective students.
  • Distributing requested program materials promptly to prospective students.
  • Providing prompt customer follow-up and problem resolution as needed.
  • Recording and entering prospect data accurately in all databases.
  • Delivering superior customer service to prospective students to support the overall goals of the department and company.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in inside or outside sales.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Excellent communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to consistently meet standards for productivity and quality.
  • Outstanding keyboarding and computer/Internet skills.

Inside Sales Associate

Reports to: Director of Business Development

Job description and responsibilities:

The Inside Sales Associate will be responsible for providing degree program information to prospective students within an assigned customer base. They will be required to assess interest levels and provide continuous follow up to prospective students, build and maintain positive relationships with assigned prospects, provide high quality application and enrollment support to facilitate student enrollment, as well as overcome prospective student objections.

In addition, the inside salesperson will be required to:

  • Meet individual monthly application and quarterly enrollment goals.
  • Work with business development and marketing teams to meet enrollment goals and objectives.
  • Work from 11AM to 8PM.

The Inside Sales Associate will also be tasked with special assignments to meet changing business needs as determined by the CEO and Director of Business Development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of professional inside sales or admissions experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Comfortable selling over the phone
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self starter
  • Customer focused relationship builder
  • Experience in Education a plus

Applicant Services Production Specialist

Part-time (Monday through Friday, 10:30 AM - 4 PM)

Drexel e-Learning, Inc. (www.drexel.com) is a for-profit subsidiary of Drexel University focused on the development and delivery of innovative, Internet-based distance education programs for working professionals and corporations. They include: degree, certificate and specialized corporate programs in nursing, business, engineering, information sciences, and education. Working in the customer service unit, the individual selected will assist in the execution of customer service initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and distributing US mail and express deliveries
  • Opening all mail pertaining to applications and date/time stamping each piece
  • Scanning each piece and virtually filing the documents in the appropriate virtual files
  • Distributing the hard copy documents to Customer Service Representatives
  • Filing hard copy documents
  • Destroying hard copy documents according to standards

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (oral/written)
  • Computer/Internet skills (including use of Excel, Word, database, contact management and customer relationship management systems)
  • Professionalism, attention to details, initiative, ambition
  • Previous experience in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
