Drexel University Online recognizes and appreciates the service and sacrifices of our nation’s active and veteran military personnel. That’s why we make it as easy as possible for servicemen and women and their families to advance their education.
Drexel Online Hosts Military Benefits Workshop – On Thursday January 19th, Drexel University Online and the local William Penn Chapter of the Association of the US Army co-hosted an educational workshop to answer local service members and their spouses’ questions about redeeming Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits. As a Yellow Ribbon university, Drexel caters its online programs to service members by providing eligible veterans with free tuition. Keynote speaker and Vietnam veteran Gene Clark is a Military Benefits Counselor with Drexel Online. Clark says thousands of military men and women are headed back home, but integrating back into civilian life is harder than you might think. “When I came home from Vietnam, I knew where I was going back to. I grew up there, but up there was not the same. It had changed, I had changed. And these men and women are no different. They have changed.”
