• Drexel Online Hosts Military Benefits Workshop – On Thursday January 19th, Drexel University Online and the local William Penn Chapter of the Association of the US Army co-hosted an educational workshop to answer local service members and their spouses’ questions about redeeming Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits. As a Yellow Ribbon university, Drexel caters its online programs to service members by providing eligible veterans with free tuition. Keynote speaker and Vietnam veteran Gene Clark is a Military Benefits Counselor with Drexel Online. Clark says thousands of military men and women are headed back home, but integrating back into civilian life is harder than you might think. “When I came home from Vietnam, I knew where I was going back to. I grew up there, but up there was not the same. It had changed, I had changed. And these men and women are no different. They have changed.”

• Post-9/11 GI Bill Yellow Ribbon Program – Drexel is among a small group of universities with no cap on the number of veterans who may enroll through the Yellow Ribbon Program, which provides tuition-free education to eligible veterans. Find out more on the Post-9/11 GI Bill website. 

   

• Military Tuition Reduction – Active military personnel, veterans, and their immediate families (including spouses, children and parents) are eligible for a 10–30% tuition reduction.* Find out more about our special tuition rates and financing options.  Be sure to use “MILITARY” as the affiliation code on your application.

   DANTES Assistance – Drexel's online programs are listed in the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) catalog, which enables students to receive tuition reimbursement support available under DANTES for the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Army Reserves, Air Force Reserves and the Air National Guard.

*Tuition reduction is off the regular tuition rate at Drexel University and cannot be combined with any other Drexel discounts (employer partnerships, online special pricing, etc.).  Those individuals receiving partial GI Bill benefits may also receive a tuition reduction.
