Philadelphia, PA – March 18, 2008 - Drexel University Online, a pioneer in Internet-based education programs, has added a new online program to its offerings, the Master of Science in Sport Management from Drexel’s Goodwin College of Professional Studies.
The M.S. in Sport Management program is designed to help sport administrators and managers to understand the connections between nutrition, psychology, management skills and athletics at a level beyond baccalaureate education. Once students graduate from the online master's in sport management, they will have the knowledge and skill to serve as a leader in their chosen area of interest and will be able to apply their training to current issues in sports and society.
The curriculum focuses on planning, design, implementation and evaluation of sport and recreation programs and offers solutions to practical problems in the sport management field. The faculty includes professional coaches, scouts, trainers, and sport administrators.
Similar to Drexel’s other online degree offerings, the fully-accredited sport management program is offered entirely online, and is intended for working professionals. Students have 24/7 online access to class materials, group discussion, instructor feedback and exams.
