Where do I pick up my Drexel account information?
You may pick up your Drexel account information by pointing your browser to http://accounts.drexel.edu. Click on “ Pick up your first accounts”. Make sure to print out the page with your account information on it for later reference.

I tried to pick up my first account & it states "We have no person on file with that combination of University ID Number, birth date, and residency information". What should I do?
First make sure you are filling out the correct information and in the specified format. If you are still unable to pick up your accounts at http://accounts.drexel.edu you will need to contact the Drexel University Accounts Office at (215) 895-2020 or via email at accounts@drexel.edu.

I forgot my username and password. How can I retrieve that information?
You may reset your password two ways.
- You may go to http://accounts.drexel.edu and click on the link “Help! I forgot my password.” This will give you access to the Password Reset Wizard which is used to gain access to your accounts when you forget your password. However, it only works if you set up the wizard before you need it.
- If you did not set up the Password Reset Wizard ahead of time, you may contact the Accounts Office at 215-895-1958 or via email at accounts@drexel.edu and request a password reset.

How do I login to BlackBoard?
Logging into Blackboard is easy. Just go to http://drexel.blackboard.com. Enter your Drexel user ID and password on the login page. Your Drexel user ID is usually your initials followed by two or three numerals. You established your password when you set up your Drexel computer accounts.

How do I access my BlackBoard course(s)?
Once you log into BlackBoard, you will be in the "Welcome" screen. Your course(s) will be listed in the upper right hand corner under "My Courses". Click on the course link(s) in order to view the course(s) you are enrolled in.

Why don't I see the course(s) I am registered for listed under “My Courses”?
You will not see your courses listed until the first day of the term you are registered for. Courses become available for viewing on that day.

How do I access my Drexel email account?
You may access your Drexel email account two ways.
- Go to http://webmail.drexel.edu and login with your Drexel domain ID and password.
- Go to http://one.drexel.edu. Login with your Drexel domain ID and password. Once you are in, click on "e-mail" in the upper right corner of the webpage.

How do I forward my Drexel email account?
- Go to: http://accounts.drexel.edu
- Click on "Manage your accounts"
- Type in your Drexel user-id and password
- Make sure drexel.edu is chosen from the pull down menu for "On what system is that account?"
- Click "OK"
- Click "Continue..."
- Scroll down to the section titled "Account-Specific Information..."
- Under "Host system" you will see "Email: [Disk quota] [Forwarding]. Click on [Forwarding]
- Scroll down to the section "What would you like done with new mail for?". Select "Forward it to this address:"
- Type the address you would like your drexel.edu email forwarded to. Then click "Update".

How do I know if I have the necessary software on my computer to view the files for my course?
It is very important that you have the latest programs necessary to successfully navigate, view lectures, and participate in your class. Before you start your Online course(s) you should perform a browser test. To access the browser test, click here.
It is important that you make sure that you have the minimum requirements suggested by the browser test.

How can I obtain a copy of Microsoft Office?
As an enrolled student you are covered under the Drexel University license to obtain Microsoft Office for use while you are a Drexel Student.
You can download Microsoft Office from the network. See details here: http://www.drexel.edu/IRT/services/software/

How do I check my grades?
You may check your grades in any BlackBoard course by clicking on the "Tools" module within that course and clicking on the "View Grades" link.

How do I find out what textbooks I need for my course?
Information on required textbooks is made available two weeks prior to the start of a course. You may access the booklist by going to http://direct.mbsbooks.com/drexelelearning.htm.

How do I order textbooks for my course?
Books for online courses can be obtained at the Drexel online bookstore which maintains a catalog of all books used for online courses and will ship within the USA and Canada. Use the online searchable database to buy your textbooks. The books will be conveniently shipped directly to your door. Typically these books are made available two weeks prior to the start of class.
Students may use other bookstores if they choose. These include The Main Campus Store, Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com, and Varsitybooks.com.

I click on an exam/quiz link. The message, “Are you sure you want to take this assessment now?”, pops up. I click OK and nothing happens. What should I do?
If you have a pop-up blocker or Norton Security installed on your computer, you must configure them to accept http://drexel.blackboard.com as a trusted site.
If you do not have either of these installed on your computer, please try to access your exam again. Sometimes the window "pops-up" behind the one you are currently viewing.

What should I do if I'm having trouble viewing video files in my BlackBoard course?
Did you preform the browser test ( /browsertest ) at the beginning of the BlackBoard orientation course?
If not, please make sure to do so and pay close attention to the sections for QuickTime Player, RealOne Player, and Windows Media Player. Even if you see a green check mark which indicates that you have the program installed, be sure to verify that you have the latest required version by viewing the sample file provided and install updates as needed.

I preformed the browser test and installed the latest version of RealOne Player and I still can't view the video file. What should I do?
If you already have the latest version of Real Player installed, you may have to configure it to be the default player for "Real-Time Streaming Protocol" a.k.a. "RTSP" file types. You may do this by opening up your Real Player, going to Tools » Preferences » Media Types, and making sure "RTSP" or "Real-Time Streaming Protocol" is checked.
NOTE: Depending on the version of Real Player you have, you may have to click on an "Advanced" button or tab within Media Types to check "RTSP" or "Real-Time Streaming Protocol" as a recognized media type.
