A multi-disciplinary online bachelor's degree program with a strong foundation in business

The online Bachelor's Degree in General Studies with a minor in Business is designed for working adults whose job and family commitments do not allow them to go "back to college" to complete their bachelor's degree. It is the perfect solution if you have earned an Associate's degree at a Community College and want to further your education, if you have some college education and want to complete your bachelor's degree online, or if you want to transfer from another program you may be currently attending.

With a broadly based curriculum in humanities and liberal studies, the Bachelor of Science Degree in General Studies with a minor in Business provides a solid foundation for students looking to enter or advance into management and business. And, while available entirely online, this bachelor's degree program offers the same exact curriculum and Drexel degree as our on-campus programs.  As with all of our online programs, the same, high academic standards apply. Students completing this online degree program will earn a Bachelor of Science in General Studies degree with a concentration in Individualized Studies and a minor in Business.

Features and Benefits of the Bachelor's Degree Online (General Studies with a minor in business):

  • Quality: Fully accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools — add the Drexel name to your resume.
  • Flexible: Totally Online - you never have to come to campus, you can complete it at your own pace. Electives can be customized to meet individual needs and interests.
  • Career-oriented: Provides a solid foundation in critical business functional areas.
  • Affordable: Special tuition for alumni of Community College Partners as well as employees of partnering corporations.
  • Attainable: You may be closer to a degree than you think: earn credit for prior studies, or even for knowledge gained outside the classroom.

Program Structure

The full degree program is 180 quarter credits (equivalent to 120 semester credits). Breaking the year's academic work into shorter modules of 10 weeks each helps you stay focused and on track. It also adds convenience; you can take a term off during a busy period at work without losing momentum toward completion of your degree. Since you can earn credit for prior studies this degree is ideal if you want to transfer from other programs you may currently attend.

Course Selection

As a manager, business professional or entrepreneur, you will gain the in-depth business expertise you need by carefully choosing courses in marketing management, accounting, finance, operations management, business law, economics, information systems, more.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for all four terms. Apply today! See admissions criteria for specific supplemental materials required.
