This program consists of 185 quarter credits (equivalent to 124 semester credits).
Transferring Credits
Students can transfer up to 113 quarter credits of the following:*
- 6 - 9 credits using Computing Technology courses taken at a college with which Goodwin has at least a credit-transfer agreement (or Drexel has an articulation agreement)**
- Up to 15 credits for Computing Technology courses using industry certifications
- Up to 42 credits of English, Mathematics, Science, Liberal Studies, using courses approved by Drexel
- Up to 47 credits of free electives
*All transfer credits must be completed prior to or during the first quarter of study.
**Courses from schools with which Drexel does not have a transfer-credit agreement will be evaluated for credit on an individual basis.
To receive credit for certifications, the relevant documentation (validation number, certification number, ID number, etc.) must be provided by the student.
A typical transfer student with the equivalent of 90 quarter credits (60 semester credits) will need to complete 90 or more quarter credits at Drexel (approximately 30 courses). Depending on the inclination of the participant and the other demands on a participant's time, a community college graduate can complete the degree in as little as 18 months (the equivalent of a full-time student load for 6 consecutive terms) or over as long as seven years (approximately one course per term for 28 consecutive terms). The fewer college credits a student has coming into the General Studies program, the more Drexel courses will be required to complete the program.
