Will any IT certifications provide me with credits towards this certificate?
Drexel gives credit for many IT industry certifications, however no credits are accepted into the Certificate in Computing Security Technology program. Certifications do provide credit into the BS in Computing & Security Technology program. A student can earn up to 15 quarter credits toward the BS in Computing & Security Technology. The course content is the same in both in-class and online versions. Often, the instructor is also the same.

Do the students need to purchase software or any other equipment for the online computer security program?
Students will use their own home computer or laptop. The software used in most courses is either free or it is the evaluation version that is valid for a limited amount of time.
