M.S. in Professional Studies: Educational Policy Concentration

Drexel’s M.S. in Professional Studies Educational Policy Concentration explores the emerging policy making role of educational leaders of all levels.  The concentration offers an emphasis on leading edge factors in educational policy-making and on the application of policy-making skills.

Students who choose the Educational Policy Concentration will develop competencies and knowledge relating to:

• Educational and societal issues related to access and equity taking into account technology, demographics, economic status, location, and jurisdictional boundaries.
• Policy making within global contexts and forces.
• Contextualizing policy studies within the range of jurisdictional entities from local, national and international settings.
• The roles of ethics and ethical decision-making in past and future policy-making.
• The tactics and influence skills of policy-making.
