The M.S. in Professional Studies, housed within the Multidisciplinary and Emerging Programs division of Drexel University’s Goodwin College, is designed for individuals and practitioners with established career paths who are interested in: developing marketable skills to meet and exceed evolving workforce demands, seeking professional development, and expanding promotional opportunities.
The curriculum for the M.S. in Professional Studies consists of a solid foundation of core courses, plus a choice of one of three concentrations: creativity studies, e-learning leadership, and homeland security management.
- Creativity Studies Concentration
Students will form an in depth understanding of creativity, enhanced communication, and creative problem solving, while learning how these may be applied to practical situations that further workplace culture of creativity. Click here for more details on the creativity studies concentration.
- E-Learning Leadership Concentration
Students will acquire knowledge of online and distance learning leadership theory and practice in emerging information and communication technologies, multimedia pedagogical strategies, and e-learning design and delivery. Click here for more details on the e-learning leadership concentration.
- Homeland Security Management Concentration
Students will develop competencies relating to homeland security strategy and policy development, national security issues in terrorism, critical infrastructure protection, intelligence, land and maritime border and port protection, and developing technologies in homeland security. The M.S. in Professional Studies is a flexible, part-time graduate degree program. Students have the opportunity to complete all degree requirements in two years.
