Admissions Criteria
Drexel's Online MBA program (MBA Anywhere™) is a rigorous academic program for high-potential business professionals. The admissions committee takes into account all aspects of each candidate's profile: academic, professional and personal, with a view towards admitting all those who are fit for graduate business education, show strong potential and determination for career success and can contribute to a rewarding, collective educational experience.
Minimum admission requirements for the Online MBA program:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (GPA of at least 3.0/4.0). No specific undergraduate major is required. Degrees earned abroad must be deemed equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's.
- Official transcripts from all universities or colleges and other post-secondary educational institutions (including trade schools) attended. Instead of hard copy transcripts, you may supply official electronic transcripts issued by a post-secondary institution directly to Drexel University Online (use our email address, customerservice@drexel.com). You must supply transcripts regardless of the number of credits earned or the type of school you attended. If you do not list all post-secondary institutions on your application and these are listed on transcripts received from other institutions, processing of your application will be delayed until you have submitted the remaining transcripts. Use our Transcript Lookup Tool to assist you in contacting your previous institutions.
- GMAT score of at least 570. (GMAT exam is waived for those who hold terminal degrees such as a JD, MD, PhD, or DDS)
- Resume.
- An Essay - approximately 500 words.
- Two letters of recommendation. Drexel University Online now accepts electronic letters of recommendation. Please access the following webpage for instructions regarding their submission: http://www.drexel.edu/apply/recommend. If a recommender prefers to submit an original, hard copy letter of recommendation, please remind the recommender that it must be signed and submitted in a sealed envelope signed across the flap by the recommender.
- International Students must submit a TOEFL score indicating a minimum of 100 for the iBT (600 for the paper exam). Click here for additional International Students requirements. NOTE: Students whose native language is not English and who do not hold a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. institution are required to take and submit a score from ToEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). Students who earned a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. institution or have worked full-time in an English-speaking country for more than two years may have this requirement waived.
