As the face and format of education continues to change, a wave of non-traditional learners are being given new opportunities to participate in higher education.
To accommodate the recent surge in adult students and their specific learning needs, Drexel University Online offers a Certificate in Adult Education for forward-thinking individuals who wish to facilitate an exceptional learning environment for this distinct set of students.
Based on substantial data reporting that adult students learn most effectively in the context of solving real world problems based on authentic needs, Drexel University Online’s Certificate in Adult Education program focuses on the unique needs of adult learners and even offers a practicum in a real adult education setting.
Developed and taught by the nationally recognized faculty of Drexel’s Goodwin College: School of Education, the certificate is made up of six courses focused on the theoretical foundations, research and professional practice of education, including field work opportunities and in-depth understanding of utilizing and implementing instructional design technology.
The Certificate in Adult Education may be taken solely as a post-baccalaureate certificate or to fulfill elective credit in other School of Education programs, such as Drexel’s Master’s programs in Higher Education and Teaching, Learning and Curriculum.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for the winter and summer terms. Apply Today.
