HR_overview_imageThe online Master’s in Human Resource Development program prepares graduates to become "strategic partners" to CEOs – or CEOs themselves. Using current research, best practices, software applications and database management systems, you will learn how to promote maximum employee performance in any organization. The Master of Science in Human Resource Development program is ideal for training and development professionals, career changers, managers and executives who want to better develop their employees, and anyone involved in assessing and responding to the development needs of employees and their organization.

Cohort & Concentrations 

Students enroll in the MS in Human Resource Development as part of a cohort, taking all courses together allowing interaction and networking opportunities among peers, and choose one of the following areas of concentration: 

  • Human Resource Development in Business Settings
    (Take four courses from the online MBA curriculum.)
  • Human Resource Development in Educational Settings
    (Take four courses from the online graduate education curriculum.)
  • Human Resource Development in Global Settings
    (Take four courses from the online graduate global and international education curriculum.)

Co-op Experience

The Online Master’s in Human Resource Development is unique in that it includes an experiential component. Students are required to participate in a 20-week, part-time co-op that provides hands-on experience in the field of human resource development. Students work closely with our Steinbright Career Development Center to identify co-op opportunities.
