  • MS in Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum: Advanced Teaching Track

    Overview

    The Master of Science in Teaching, Learning and Curriculum: Advanced Studies Track is designed to provide students with advanced teaching knowledge and skills beyond those required for initial teacher certification. Graduates of the accredited program will be qualified to enhance their current careers in education or pursue a variety of other professional roles including: instructional leaders beyond the classroom, researchers in local, state, national or international organizations, and professionals in foundations, associations, corporations and private education institutions. The program also provides a strong foundation for doctoral level studies through an emphasis in research.

    Students will be taught to

    • Conduct effective instruction in a variety of education settings
    • Understand both the public and private sectors, as well as both small and large education organizations
    • Develop, analyze, implemente, and evaluate instructional strategies
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external groups

    The Master's in Teaching, Learning and Curriculum: Advanced Studies Track is intended for currently certified teachers. If you are interested in obtaining teacher certification, please consider our other degree and certificate programs.


    This program is not currently accepting applications from students living in Iowa, Louisiana, North Carolina, or Wisconsin.

    Admissions Criteria

    • A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
    • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher (graduate GPA will be considered along with the undergraduate GPA)

    • Official transcripts from all universities or colleges and other post-secondary educational institutions (including trade schools) attended
    • Two professional letters of recommendation

    Tuition

    The tuition rate for the academic year 2014-2015 is $787 per credit. (A 30% discount off Drexel's regular tuition rate of $1123 per credit)

    This rate applies only to new online matriculated students. Students receiving special tuition plans with Drexel Online may not combine them with other tuition benefits that may be available from Drexel University.

    This program is eligible for Financial Aid. We also offer tuition reduction through our network of partner companies and organizations, and for Drexel University alumni and those in the military.
