International Applicants who are not ECFMG certified (as well as Immigrants to the U.S. and U.S. Permanent Residents whose native language is not English, and who have not received a Bachelor's degree or higher in the U.S., Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand or the United Kingdom) must submit the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum score of 550 is required for the paper-based TOEFL test and 90 for the internet-based TOEFL Test.Applicants can be waived from the TOEFL if the following apply:
Undergraduate Nursing Programs
For the TOEFL, applicants must have a minimum score of 550 AND a minimum score of 550 for the Test of Spoken English (TSE). For the TOEFL-iBT, applicants must have a minimum combined score of 79, plus a minimum score of 26 in the speaking section.IELTS: 6.5 Overall score with a 7.5 on the speaking section.
