Admissions Criteria
- A Master's degree with a major in nursing from a National League of Nursing (NLN)-accredited program and/or a CCNE-accredited program with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a scale of 4.0. Applications from R.N.s who hold a non-nursing baccalaureate degree or with a cumulative grade point average under 3.0 are considered on an individual basis.
- A copy of your RN license or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse.
- Official transcripts from all universities or colleges attended. Click here to use our Transcript Lookup Tool to assist you in contacting your previous institutions.
- Current Resume (Note: Resume should be detailed regarding work experience including specific job experiences/responsibilities/departments).
- Two professional letters of recommendation.
- Personal statement (of no more than two pages and no less than one page double spaced) that will give the admissions committee a better understanding of:
- Why you are choosing this particular program of study
- Your plans upon completion of the graduate degree
- How your current work experience will enhance your experience in this program

International Requirements
- International Applicants (as well as Immigrants to the U.S. and U.S. Permanent Residents whose native language is not English, and who have not received a Bachelor's degree or higher in the U.S., Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand or the United Kingdom) must submit the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the Test of Spoken English (TSE). A minimum score of 550 is required for the paper test and 213 for the Computer Based TOEFL Test. A minimum score of 55 is required for the TSE.
