Admissions Criteria
- A Master's degree with a major in nursing from a National League of Nursing (NLN)-accredited program and/or a CCNE-accredited program with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a scale of 4.0. Applications from R.N.s who hold a non-nursing baccalaureate degree or with a cumulative grade point average under 3.0 are considered on an individual basis.
- A copy of your current, unrestricted RN license or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse. License verification from your nursing license registry website are acceptable.
- Official transcripts from all universities or colleges and other post-secondary educational institutions (including trade schools) attended. Instead of hard copy transcripts, you may supply official electronic transcripts issued by a post-secondary institution directly to Drexel University Online (use our email address, customerservice@drexel.com). You must supply transcripts regardless of the number of credits earned or the type of school you attended. If you do not list all post-secondary institutions on your application and these are listed on transcripts received from other institutions, processing of your application will be delayed until you have submitted the remaining transcripts. - If you attended a Diploma School of Nursing and the school was affiliated with a college/university, the official transcript must be submitted from the college for any non-nursing courses for which you received credit.
- Current Resume (Note: Resume should be detailed regarding work experience including specific job experiences/responsibilities/departments).

If a recommender prefers to submit an original, hard copy letter of recommendation, please remind the recommender that it must be signed and submitted in a sealed envelope signed across the flap by the recommender.
Personal statement (length: 800 to 1600 words) that will give the admissions committee a better understanding of:
- Why you are choosing this particular program of study
- Your plans upon completion of the graduate degree
- How your current work experience will enhance your experience in this program
Applicants seeking admission into the Post Masters in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program must be willing to complete the clinical practicum rotations in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Virginia, Washington DC, Connecticut, Rhode Island, or Maryland.

International Requirements
International Applicants (as well as Immigrants to the U.S. and U.S. Permanent Residents whose native language is not English, and who have not received a Bachelor's degree or higher in the U.S., Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand or the United Kingdom) must demonstrate proficiency in English speaking as well as listening, writing and reading by satisfactory scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). US citizens born on US military bases abroad may be waived from the TOEFL requirement after submitting documentation of this status. Otherwise, applicants must meet one of the following requirements.
- TOEFL minimum score of 550 AND Test of Spoken English (TSE) score minimum score of 55.
- TOEFL-ibt minimum combined score of 79 for listening, writing and reading sections, plus speaking section minimum score of 26.
