Nurse Enrolls in BSN Program In Order to Stay on the Edge of Change in Healthcare

“My experience as a student in Drexel University Online’s RN-BSN program has exceeded my expectations of both the quality of the program and experiential opportunities.  This degree will enable me to proceed onto the MSN program.  The flexibility of the program is by far one of the reasons why I chose to enroll into the program at Drexel Online. Moreover, Drexel is highly regarded for its excellence in nursing education. My professors have been extremely accommodating and accessible. Although, one does not 'see' fellow classmates, relationships develop rather quickly through sharing challenges and successes with other classmates.  The format is great. As a working professional and juggling a career, family, and life in general, online learning allows you to still manage your livelihood. The accessibility is phenomenal, and I am able to be in class wherever I have an Internet connection. I have even attended an online synchronous WIMBA session while on the beach!   It is however very important to prioritize, focus, and maintain a disciplined schedule while as a student in this program.  Taking the first step is the hardest, but it gets easier as you learn to manage class work along with your day-to-day life. As we move into a new dimension in healthcare, nurses are the barometer of change. I would encourage anyone in the field to enroll in one of Drexel’s online programs in order to stay on the edge of the change.”

Busy Nurse is Earning a MSN in Leadership From the Comfort of Her Own Home

“What I enjoy most about the online learning format is that I can attend classes and work towards a degree in the comfort of my own home. I do not have to worry about being late to class due to weather or traffic, and I am able to participate when my schedule allows.  I am amazed that there are students from all over the world, literally. One of my classmates lived in Cairo, Egypt and she was able to attend classes from half-way across the world. The benefits of online learning are that you can learn at your own convenience, and it’s almost like a one-on-one learning process. The online learning format also provides a focused-learning environment. I can think about a question and compose my thoughts before answering and posting my response on the discussion board. Can you imagine attending class with others and not having to worry about a bad hair day or whether or not you are the eldest student in the class? With online learning there is no need to concern yourself with those types of distractions.  I am totally focused on my future career goal which is to earn a graduate nursing degree which will better equip me to compete in the health care job market.”

72 Year Old Nurse Fullfills Dream of Earning a BSN Despite Health Illnesses

“My experience with Drexel University Online has been wonderful. The instructors are very helpful and patient with me - since I have little computer experience.  I am 72 years-old and have always wanted to earn my BSN. Earning a bachelor’s degree is something I never thought I could obtain due to my age, recent health problems and my busy work schedule. The online RN to BSN program is flexible and allows me to work around my full-time job as a RN in the Pediatrics Emergency department and take care of my family. My future goal is to become the manager within the Pediatrics E.R.  I don’t care how long it takes to finish the degree; I am committed to obtaining it.  Not only am I a busy RN, but I am also a mother of three, grandmother of four, and wife of 50 years.  My advice, get started now, it’s never too late.”
