Drexel University Online’s MSN bridge program is for RNs who have a Bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing and now wish to pursue their MSN degree in the nursing field. This exclusively-online Master’s degree is offered by Drexel University’s nationally-ranked College of Nursing and Health Professionals (CNHP). All courses have been developed and are taught by Drexel’s renowned CNHP faculty, distinguishing the MSN bridge program from similar online degrees offered by other institutions.
The "bridge" consists of three undergraduate courses or submission of a portfolio. Classes are online and are delivered in 10-week, quarter term sessions. A once-weekly clinical experience is required in NURS 375. At least one and often several bridge courses are offered in any given term. Most bridge courses include mandatory virtual class meetings.
Students apply to the MSN track of their choice. Acceptance is provisional, pending successful completion of the bridge courses. Tuition for the bridge program is charged at the graduate rate. Students have one year after matriculating to complete the bridge program.
