According to the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC), salaries and signing bonuses of MBA degree holders took a large jump in 2005 to a record average of $106,000 – up 13.5% from 2004 (USA Today, “New MBA’s finding education pays off big time”).

Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business offers an online MBA program (MBA Anywhere™), available with concentrations in Marketing, Finance, and other areas in a format convenient for working professionals. The online MBA program (for both Finance MBA & Marketing MBA) optimizes your leadership potential in a 24-month, part-time, cohort format, along with the flexibility of online delivery. The cohorted format provides students with the opportunity to progress through the program with the same group while developing meaningful relationships with fellow classmates.

Online Marketing MBA Concentration

According to MONEY and Salary.com in its Best Jobs in America list, many marketing related careers rank high on its “Top 50” list. Ranking at #6, market research analyst positions are expected to grow by 20.19% over the next ten years.  Ranking at #11, advertising manager positions will experience a 20.34% growth rate, and at #20, public relations specialists will experience a 22.61% growth rate. Many of these marketing positions are strengthened by an MBA. Drexel’s online MBA with a Marketing Concentration can provide marketers with advanced skills in their field. The marketing concentration in the MBA program consists of 6 credit hours (2 courses) of advanced marketing coursework.

Finance Concentration

According to MONEY and Salary.com in its Best Jobs in America list, many finance related careers also rank high on its “Top 50” list. For example, ranking at #3, financial advisor positions are expected to grow by 25.92% over the next ten years, and ranking at #42, financial analyst positions will experience a 17.33% growth rate. Many of these finance positions are strengthened by an MBA. Drexel’s online MBA with a Finance Concentration can provide individuals in the financial field with advanced skills. The finance concentration in the MBA program consists of 6 credit hours (2 courses) of advanced finance coursework.

 

Other concentrations include:

  • Entrepreneurship Concentration - This multi-disciplinary concentration focuses on building skills to identify and evaluate opportunities, acquire capital and other resources, and start and grow a new venture. Includes engaging in corporate entrepreneurship (developing radically new products/services for an existing business) and joining an already established new venture. 
  • Business Analytics Concentration - This concentration teaches students how to access/analyze data and business processes for the purpose of improved business decision-making. It prepares students to make good business decisions with fact-based insights and an understanding of business performance from a systems view, using statistical and quantitative analysis of data as well as explanatory and predictive modeling.  The concentration is designed for students who have an interest in quantitative methods, data analysis, using computer programs to solve business problems, and want to enter a career in business analytics.
