The program is a flexible, convenient part-time graduate program consisting of 49.5 credits: 31.5 credits in Core Special Education Certification courses, 12 credits in concentration courses, and 6 credits in research.
The graduate Special Education Leadership Certification program is for individuals who already possess a valid PA Instructional I or Instructional II Teaching Certificate and who have a minimum of five years of professional school experience in special education or a related field. This program is for teachers who want to qualify for the PA state Supervisor of Special Education certificate.Special Education Certification Program
It is a flexible, convenient part-time graduate program consisting of 31.5 credits in Core Special Education Certification courses. For students that have not completed the prerequisite courses, the program will require 45 credits: 31.5 credits in Core Special Education Certification courses and 13.5 credits in Pre-Requisites for Certification in Special Education.
Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders
This certificate is designed for those who seek additional expertise in this critical-need area. Students who complete the Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders are equipped with the fundamental skills, knowledge, teaching methods, interventions, and supports needed to work with students with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
