Browser Test

We have created this "Browser Test" to ensure you have a productive and enjoyable experience with our eLearning system. The "Browser Test" lists our software requirements, sample files and upgrade instructions (if needed).

If you encounter problems that you are not able to overcome by following the instructions provided, or if you are not sure what to do, don't worry—we are here to help. Feel free to contact technical support.

Before you begin, we recommend you bookmark this page for an easy return should you go off to a third party website to get a plug-in and/or are forced to reboot after you install new software.

Note: Using JavaScript we do our best to automatically detect if you have the necessary software at all and/or its version number. Should you meet our requirements you will see a green check mark. Should you not meet the requirements or we were unable to auto-detect, you will see a gray question mark.

If you see the gray question mark, use the provided links to download and install the necessary software. If you think you have the software already, try to download the sample media file and open it in the program to verify it's working. If you can view the sample media file, you should be fine.

Shockwave Player

About:
If Flash had an older brother it would be Shockwave; and while it's true Flash has grown up and can do many similar things, Shockwave still has a trick or two up its sleeve. For example, Shockwave has a built in 3D system and a much more mature scripting language. We currently do not require Shockwave but do recommend it as there is the possibility an instructor may link to a site that does.
